Trousers that hang around young mens' bottoms
Sagging Fashion - These are the equivalent of the pastels and bad hair of the 80's. I once saw a man with them so low, if he walked into the sun, a beam of light shone through the gap. Often young men can be seen holding them up with one hand, either permanently stuck in the back pocket, or around the defunct belt-loop. As with all fashions, they will die, and we will rejoice.

It's the element of danger; the potential face-smackery that will keep this particular fashion going for years to come.
What will happen instead is that as soon as the protagonists reach 24, they will tire of their bulbous smashed up noses and resort to real trousers.

I suspect it'll go like this: pant level continues to drop until these chaps are waddling around with their pants around their knees or ankles, then some poor guy will trip, fall and his carefully styled hair will fall slightly out of place as he faceplants into the tarmac.
Other young saggers will gasp in horror and quickly grasp a belt, a tie, an electric power cord - anything to fasten around their waist to hold their pants up, to avoid the same nightmare for themselves. Then they'll apply some more Product to their sculpted locks and marvel at how stunningly warm their tender arses are all of a sudden.
